Dan In Denton, TX

Last Wednesday night, we were in Denton, TX at Eagle Pointe Church speaking to students about reaching their school.  To be honest, most of the students seemed to be uninterested at surface level.  We left not really knowing if the words we spoke penetrated into the hearts of those students.  God alone only knows of the effect His word has as the seeds are planted.  We never anticipated the following story about Dan:

Dan, 8th grader at McMath Middle School, took his Bible to school for the first time on Thursday, the morning after the service.  He was going to make a statement to his friends about his relationship with God.  The Bible sitting on the desk, screaming loud and proud of his affection towards God.  A friend in the next desk leans over and asked, “What is that book?”  Dan proudly stated, “The Bible!”  Friend mumbled, “My mom says the Bible is the biggest waste of time and money.”  Dan quickly used the moment to share his testimony and how God changed his own life.  The friends attitude quickly changed.  He seemed interested in this new found book.  Check this out- Dan offered the friend his one and only Bible.  The friend accepted and took it home .

God only knows the future of this young friend of Dan.  These stories amaze me.  Students doing little things to plant seeds of faith and God responds every time.  He wants to win the schools even more than we do.  Give him a little and watch Him make it a lot.
